Time Tremors at the Horniman

Visitors to the Horniman Museum and Gardens are able to go on a new adventure with the Time Tremors: Horniman mobile app which launches today. The Horniman will be the first UK museum to collaborate with the award-winning Time Tremors team to bring a new dimension to a visit to its Museum and Gardens.

In this interactive adventure, aimed at five- to eight-year-olds, players can select from four different missions which take them on a mobile quest around the Museum and Gardens to find treasures from the Horniman’s collections.

Based on Time Tremors, the international TV series, the Time Tremors: Horniman app follows the adventures of brother and sister Max and Medie. Together they travel through time in search of lost Time Treasures to use to defeat the most powerful force of evil in the Universe - their terrifying teacher Miss Bugly.

Players are given clues to help them move through the Horniman in search of six objects on each of the missions.

‘We have an amazing number of objects and specimens on display and it’s easy to overlook lots of brilliant things. This app might well lead you to discover something entirely new at the Horniman.’ - Georgina Pope, Head of Learning

The first mission, Finding Faces, is now free to download. The subsequent missions – Big and Small, Bone Hunt and Time Teasers cost 69p each.

‘We are very excited to launch Time Tremors: Horniman and offer visitors another exciting interactive experience during their trip to our Museum and Gardens. Whether played solo, with friends or as part of a family visit, we hope people enjoy this new way of finding out more about our collections, and have lots of fun embarking on their Time Tremors missions.’ - Adrian Murphy, Digital Media Manager

The Time Tremors: Horniman app is available for both Apple and Android devices and can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
