About this event

To celebrate the arrival of our new At Home With Music display, we are hosting a live performance on our 1772 Kirckman harpsichord in the Music Gallery, on the last Tuesday of each month.

On Tuesday 24 June, Medea Bindewald will perform selected movements from a sonata by Queen Charlotte's harpsichord teacher, Joseph Kelway, as well as compositions by the keyboard virtuoso Domenico Scarlatti and the violinist Francesco Geminiani, a student of the famous Arcangelo Corelli.

Having studied in Freiburg and Cologne, Medea performs as a soloist and continuo player in Germany and Britain. From 2003-2010 she taught at the University of Music and Theatre "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig. Her first CD, Jacques Duphly Pièces de clavecin, was released in March 2014.
